Looking Forward
Foster Care training is in 18 days, I am getting excited and wishing it would hurry up and get here!
I hope we are approved!
I was talking to our case worker the other day and she said that they are going to get 1 of the 4 assessment done during our training days. Training is 26,27,28 FEB from 9:30am till 3pm! Hey they are even going to provide LUNCH!
Most likley we will finish the last 3 assessment in the next few weeks after training and HOPEFULLY have Approval not long after that...
Then our first placement...
Oh how I have thought about this moment...
What type of child will he/she be?
What reasons is this child coming in to foster care?
How long will this child be in care?
Will I be able to help this child in some small way?
Will I be a good enough parent?
Will my eyes be open to see the things I NEED to see!
How will my bio kids handle it?
Oh I so pray that I will be a good mum to my bio kids and any and all foster kids that come into my home....

I'm excited for you. It will be difficult and trying, but it will be wonderful too.
Fantastic news! It IS finally going to happen!!! I'm sure you will be a great Mum - remember even the bestest Mum does have bad days!!!
That awesome news. I'm sure you will get approved. Why wouldn't you?
You are so lucky it is 3 full days. We have 9 classes of 3 hours each.
Really excited for you!
I wish you the very best. This is my fourth year fostering and it has been a blessing! It will be the hardest thing you've done but one of the most rewarding. ~Sandy
