Edge of your seat ride

So many thoughts and feelings! I am worn out! BUT I AM LOVING IT!

It didn't help that the day Lil Miss Foster got here I was coming down with a really icky head cold and cough! So she slept till 12pm and and then awake again at 6am! Not to bad but not knowing her sleep pattens or if she had bottles though the night or not~ ITs all guess work?!?! What food she likes and doesn't!

Lil Miss LOVES to feed her self! She will grab the spoon out of my hand and put it in hers and turn it upside down! Mealtimes have become a whole lot more mess! Oh how soon you can forget how much mess!! So it doesn't help that she does not like getting her face cleaned and loves to put her messy hands in her hair!

Lil Miss has really dark shoulder length curly hair~ It is so pretty but this is another thing she doesn't like getting done! We are still trying to work the whole clothes thing as she only came with a few items! We get paid a small amount of money to help with day to day costs but its back paid and she needs stuff now!!! I have been blessed by my friends who have bought around items to get me though till I am able to buy some of her own clothes!
Also a friend bought have a cooked meal so I didn't need to cook last night! That was so very sweet!

We are not allowed to show photos of her online so I am really sorry to anyone that is hoping to see this sweet dear ones face!! I have asked if I can send a photo in an email to trusted people and I am waiting to hear back!

Kagen is been a great big brother and really has taken it the best! Tiarna gets upset when I ask her not to do things e.g.: don't pick her up! But I am trying to work on that balance of letting her do something's so she is involved! I know she only wants to help.... Arliah has taken it the hardest and we are taking it easy with her! Arliah went to town with her grandmother the other day and normally when she does that she doesn't want to come home!! But about 2 hours into she rang and asked to come home to play with Lil Miss!!

Lil Miss went to a access visit and when they brought her home and got her out of the car she saw me and put her arms out for me!! Made my heart melt! The CW worker told me that she so far seems very happy and relaxed with us!

Last night was ok she was a wake again at 12 and then again at 5! At 12 I gave her a bottle and just cuddled her! My heart aches for what she must have been going though (we are not told any details of how any why she came into foster care) and I look at her and wonder what she is thinking... I pray that she feels safe and loved here!

This isn't for the faint hearted but I wouldn't give this up for the world

Sounds like you are doing a great job. It must be hard not knowing much about what type of sleeping/eating schedule she is used to. I wish you didn't live so far away, I'd be happy to give you some hand me down clothes.

Dear sweet Chel, you are amazing and my heart is there with you. What a great thing you are doing. All the preparation and planning and you still feel lost - completely to be expected. I'm praying that things settle into a wonderful routine and I'm sure you (and your family) will be the best thing that has happened to this darling little Miss Foster. I too would love to help if I can.

It sounds like it's going just as well as can be expected. I'm glad! Give that sweet little one a hug and a kiss from across the ocean.

I am so in awe of your commitment to these precious little children.
You are probably the most stability she has ever had. I do wish we could see her, but I do not blame Foster Care for that policy. You never know if"Grandma" is a blogger.:)
Hapyy for you, sweety.

Sounds like it is going well, but I agree, not for the fainthearted! I think I mentioned the book, ANOTHER PLACE AT THE TABLE. It's great..written by a foster mom I've met who has had over 100 foster children. She has a second book, ONE SMALL BOAT, but I'd read theme in order.

Best wishes!

Wendy

Chelley,
I got the socks in the mail today. Thanks again. I LOVE them. They are perfect for Hannah and lots of room to grow.
