And in a blink they are gone...

I packed all their gear and had them ready to for pick up at 9am...

The girls were so excited to be going.... Which just pulled on my heart....

Even though they have been told what was happening they really didn't understand what was happening...

I told Buttons how much I loved her and that I would miss her and it was ok to feel sad...

to which she said "I wont miss you... You have other kids to play with"
Maybe that was her way of telling me to keep my chin up......

Once the girls left I felt that piece of me had left too.... I came inside crying so hard..... Bit of a loss of what to do with myself... Arliah was with Nanny and the twins at school and AL at work the house was so quite......

So I pulled the sheets of the girls bed to wash and cried some more.....

This is so very hard.....

this song keeps going around in my head

I am so sorry that you are sad. I loved the little ones comment, though.
Out of the mouths of babes.
And you know what? She is right.
You handled this "trial run" so well..You will always have LOTS and LOTS of kids to play with.

I can only imagine how hard this is for you. We are beginning that process with our first foster child on Monday. I dread that last day.
